Why now? As the intercom alerts the university residents to remain indoors, Dr. Lavender locked the classroom door. How convenient his pupils learned about different realms the previous week! As he spun around, his stoic face lit up. His hands rose above them.
“Dearest Apprenti, though today’s lesson has been canceled, our learning has not.” He announced.
The professor approached the rear door in the room. Learning? What lessons could fill the minds in the room beyond that door? It was a simple restroom, was it not? Incantations began and illuminated the innate wooden passage. Soon, there was no door at all. Instead, the entrance to a world unknown. The student’s eyes bore into the threshold before them, taking in the vast denim-blue abyss of stars and planets framing the sun-yellow sand. Mere feet ahead the golden grains, danced grand waves of cherry and lilac. Each watery hill crashing down onto the beach, turning the yellow sand into a tangerine orange.
